We understand that the prenatal period is a time of excitement, anticipation, and sometimes, a few nerves. Virtual consultations aim to provide you with personalized care, information and guidance right from the comfort of your own home.

Pregnancy and birth has been my life’s work. For over 20 years, I have been honored to educate, advocate, listen to, and support families through the complex landscape of building a family. I am also a trained midwife and I am so grateful to have had the joy of catching many babies in my hands before returning to doula work. After so many years on call, I am moving away from taking birth clients and into a new season and a new way to share my knowledge and guidance with clients.
I know that your story is unique. Who you are is going to serve you beautifully through the challenges ahead. I am here to answer your questions with evidence and wisdom and to help you find your own answers as you navigate the choices that arise. Whether you are at the very start of your planning or just had a big, last minute change of plans, I can help normalize the next steps and bring perspective that comes from working with hundreds and hundreds of birthing people.

All of my consults will be conducted online with the exception of postpartum consults which may be arranged in person as needed. Kate believes in meeting families where they are while also providing practical, realistic, evidence-based information to help them feel prepared to make any and all decisions confidently. Kate believes in approaching birth with curiosity and wonder for what may unfold and using the information and wisdom you have learned along the way to guide your choices.
Kate's individualized practice focuses on each family's unique needs and dynamics. She has extensive experience with supporting spontaneous and assisted vaginal births, inductions, and cesareans both planned and unplanned and enjoys working with people who are eager to learn about and engage with their amazing birthing body.

This private, in-home course prepares expecting parents for coping with all stages of labor. Taught by a highly experienced doula, you will practice how to move your breath and body for comfort and labor progress and learn how to use common and specialty tools to promote relaxation. Your doula will come to you so that you can explore how to use items in your home for labor support.

When you have decided that an induction is the safest way to bring your baby Earthside, you may have lots of questions. This private virtual course will address the logistics of a labor induction including tools, interventions, timelines, questions to ask your provider, how partners can help, and much more. There will be plenty of time for your questions. Includes a copy of the presentation for your future reference.
